Starting Over

In Sociology there is a term called "Social Clock". It simply means that society expects us to have achieved or obtained certain items, at a particular time in our lives. For many of us it doesn't always work out quite as we've planned and we will find ourselves in need of a Re-Do.

Many of us will find ourselves starting over again at some point. Although it can be very frustrating, starting over does not have to be the end of our dreams. If we find ourselves back at the starting line, we should take the opportunity to rethink our plan, make the proper adjustments and get back to making our dreams a reality.

Having to start over doesn't always mean that our plans wont work, sometimes all it means is that our approach isn't working. So now is the time for corrections to be made and for us to make the most of this re-do moment.

One of the things that set achievers apart from those who do not achieve, is that they make the most of their moments of re-do. Starting over for them is a moment of repair and recovery, not a time to second guess themselves and quit. It is all in how they look at it. Where one person may view starting over as a set back, others look at it as an opportunity.

If we find ourselves having to start over again, know that the outcome is all in how we perceive it and how we respond. Starting over can be our gift from God to regroup and get it right the next time around.
